If you're using the podcast player widget, the minimum size you'll need to keep the e-mail feature working is 300x300. You may run into some other display strangeness, but the share features will work.

If you need your widget to fit in a smaller space than 300x300 (such as the 300x250 adserver standard), we recommend using the Media Player widget instead.

You can now use Shoutlet to post videos directly to your personalized YouTube account. This gives you full control over the theme and layout of your YouTube page and player, as well as the ability to log into your YouTube account to remove videos you've uploaded using Shoutlet when your campaign is over.

1. Create a YouTube account. It can be in your name, your company's name or your campaign's name. If you already have a YouTube account, you can use this as well.

2. Create a new video Shout. When you get to the "Distribute" tab, you will now see a new option: Publish to your YouTube account.

3. Follow the link in this box and it will take you to a page on YouTube that asks you to allow Shoutlet to access your YouTube account. You might see a warning from YouTube in a red box, but this is actually caused by a temporary problem on YouTube's end. Shoutlet's connection to your YouTube account is 100% secure and has been approved approved by YouTube.

You only need to go through this process the first time you publish to YouTube. The next time, all your YouTube credentials will already be in place.

4. Click "Allow" and YouTube should take you back to your Video Shout. Go to the distribute tab once again, and make sure there's a checkbox in "publish to your YouTube account" You'll have several YouTube information fields to fill out, and then you're set to publish!

Each time you create an RSS feed, Shoutlet will host it and allow you to link to this feed from anywhere on the Internet. To get the direct link for your RSS feed, perform the following steps:

1. Select an RSS feed you've created and open open it for editing. Then click over to the "distribute RSS feed" tab

2. Right click the permalink and select "copy link location".

3. This link can now be placed anywhere in websites or emails. This works best when the link is associated with a standard RSS icon since many visitors will recognize this symbol immediately.

TIP: To have your RSS link appear in the address bar when people visit your site, add this line in the header of your website's home page:

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS" href="URL">

Where URL (keep the quotation marks!) is replaced with the permalink you copied in step #2. When done, people visiting your website should see an RSS link similar to

At some point, you may wish to clean up the audio and video files you've uploaded to your Shoutlet account and delete files that are no longer needed. Follow these steps after you've logged into Shoutlet:

1. First decide which kind of media you'd like to work with.

a. For video, select "post video" from the videos dashboard button or create a new video shout using the green "Shout" button.

b. For audio, select "new episode" from the podcast dashboard button.

c. For images, select "create podcast" from the podcast dashboard button or create a new podcast sing the green "Shout button"

2. Once you see your list of media files, click the TITLE (not the icon!) of the picture and you will be presented with a window that will let you preview and delete your selected file.

3. If the file is being used by a podcast or widget, Shoutlet will let you know where it is being used and won't let you delete it until it's unassigned.
