<description>&#60;p&#62;Yes you can! The first thing you'll want to do is create an email for the auto-responder message. This can be create using your email shout. Once you have inserted and formatted your message for the auto-responder, click on the plus sign for &#34;additional options&#34; below your email. Under additional options, select the drop down for &#34;use as auto-responder&#34; and select &#34;yes&#34;.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Once you have formatted the email for your auto-responder, you will need to tie your auto-responder back to the group you created in Shoutlet. Under your contacts tab, click &#34;list all groups&#34; and select the &#34;view&#34; option for the group you want the auto-responder for. Once your in the group, scroll down to &#34;auto-responder&#34; and under &#34;send this e-mail to a new opt-in&#34; you can set the email you created for your auto-responder. The next option you is to&#34;notify of new opt-ins&#34;. Every time a new user submits their information to the signup widget or Shoutlet API, you can be notified via email. Simply insert your email address; you can include multiple emails addresses, just make sure to seperate them with commas.

<title>Jessi on "New Feature: Click-through URLs to Media Players and "Use Your Own" Widgets"</title>

<description>&#60;p&#62;Shoutlet allows users to add click-through URLs to both media player widgets and custom or &#34;use your own&#34; widgets. When a user clicks on your media player or custom widget, they are directed back to your website, product pages, Facebook fan page, or any URL you specify. Most importantly, Shoutlet can track the number of times each link is clicked.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;The click-through URL is added directly to the widget.  For media player widgets, the URL can be added under the video options of the widget. You will first select your video and then add your click-through URL.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;For custom widgets or &#34;use your own&#34; widgets, you first need to select your file and once you have the file tab open, you can add a image click-through URL.

<title>Jessi on "How do I import my unsubscribe lists into Shoutlet?"</title>

<description>&#60;p&#62;When you import contacts from a CSV you can now include a column called “status” (and only “status”). When a user creates their CSV they can provide any of the following values to this column, if they don’t match these values, it will be ignored. Accepted values are:&#60;br /&#62;
a) ‘active’ or ‘1’ → will set any contact not already flagged as unsubscribed to active and ready to get e-mail, will un-delete any deleted accounts.&#60;br /&#62;
b) ‘deleted’ or ‘0’ → will flag the contact as deleted, no longer able to be seen/sent e-mail (will preserve unsubscribe status if the contact was already unsubscribed)&#60;br /&#62;
c) ‘unsubscribed’ or ‘2’ → will flag the contact as unsubscribed, they will be visible in the system but e-mail will not go out to them from that client under any means.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;These work for both inserting new contacts and updating existing ones (contacts are updated when the import routine finds a matching e-mail address).

This is where you can send a default senders name for your emails. Each time you create a new email, it will pre-populate with the default information.&#60;br /&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;In Shoutlet, you have the option to publish an image shout to your Facebook page or profile.  To create an image shout, click on &#34;messages&#34; and then click &#34;new text message&#34;. Insert the title and description like you normally would, and under &#34;image for Facebook status update&#34; select the image that you would like published to your account. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Once you have filled out all of your information, click on the &#34;distribute&#34; tab, and click on the Facebook accounts you want to publish too.  &#60;/p&#62;

<title>Jessi on "How do I move a Shoutlet widget on Facebook from the boxes tab to wall?"</title>
<link>http://shoutlet.com/blog/forum/topic.php?id=80#post-107</link>

<description>&#60;p&#62;Once you have your widget embedded into the FBML box, you have the option to move it from the boxes tab to your wall tab. Moving your widget to the wall will help generate additional exposure to it.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;From the boxes tab, click on the pencil (this is to the far right on the box).&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;img alt=&#34;&#34; src=&#34;http://clients.shoutlet.com/file/57/36277.png&#34; /&#62;&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Once you click on the pencil, you will see an option to &#34;Move to Wall tab&#34;. Once you select this option, your widget will appear on the wall tab now.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;img alt=&#34;&#34; src=&#34;http://clients.shoutlet.com/file/57/36279.png&#34; /&#62;&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;What happens if my widget doesn't move to the wall?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If the widget doesn't move to the wall tab, you most likely have the exceeded number of boxes of your wall page (Facebook allows 5). We would recommend moving another box to your Facebook tabs. Just click on your main page, and click on the pencil again, you can then move the boxes tab. Once that's done, you can go back and move your poll to the wall tab, by following the above step.

<title>Jessi on "Tracking forwarded emails in Shoutlet"</title>

<description>&#60;p&#62;1) If the images in an email are not loaded, and email wouldn’t mark as read; therefore would it also not show as forwarded? &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;No, the activity of the email will register - clicks, social bookmarks, forwards, etc., just not that the email has been opened (if images are turned off).&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;2) If an email were forwarded second hand—that is, forwarded once through Shoutlet “forward” button, then forwarded from there, it wouldn’t track in Shoutlet as forwarded, correct?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Shoutlet will track that information, but it wouldn't break it down on to tier 1 forward to tier 2 forward, it will collectively show X number of forwards. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;3) If an email is forwarded via an email client’s forward function (not Shoutlet button) it would not track as fwd in Shoutlet, is that right? &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Correct.

<guid isPermaLink="false">105@http://shoutlet.com/blog/forum/</guid>
<description>&#60;p&#62;Shoutlet has been white-listed with numerous email providers, but to ensure best deliverability with your own servers try the following steps:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;- Please make sure that the your email address is white-listed with your own server (this will help ensure delivery to your employees, investors, etc), and also the recipients server. Sometimes this can be a cause for spam, and may be the quickest fix.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Please see the following link for more information.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;a href=&#34;http://www.melbpc.org.au/faq/spamass.htm&#34; rel=&#34;nofollow&#34;&#62;http://www.melbpc.org.au/faq/spamass.htm&#60;/a&#62; &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Also, here is a helpful link for certain email programs and how to whitelist clients&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;a href=&#34;http://www.learnsteps4profit.com/whitelist.html&#34; rel=&#34;nofollow&#34;&#62;http://www.learnsteps4profit.com/whitelist.html&#60;/a&#62;&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;-You could try white-listing the domain, so all @company name email addresses would be white-listed (for example, @shoutlet.com)&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;-Lastly, you could try white-listing Shoutlet IP address. Email &#60;a href=&#34;mailto:support@shoutlet.com&#34;&#62;support@shoutlet.com&#60;/a&#62; to receive this information. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Hopefully these white-list options will helps you and your recipients receive your emails.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Also, here is a little background information on the different levels that emails can be caught as spam, so this may help explain why Charlene didn't even get the email in her spam folder. This also correlates to how it will appear in Shoutlet reporting.&#60;br /&#62;
Spam can be caught by a mail server before delivery, or by the e-mail client after delivery.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If spam is blocked by a mail server before delivery, it will come up as a bounce (in this case the &#34;spam source blocked&#34; message, though that message can vary by e-mail server).&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If the spam is put into a spam box or flagged as spam by her e-mail client, it will NOT show up as a bounce.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If you open a message in your spam box or copies it into a inbox and opens it, it will show up as opened as long as it has images enabled (so that the tracking pixel loads).&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If you feel the mail server is &#34;spam source blocking&#34; some e-mails and not others, Shoutlet has no control over that, and you would need to contact your mail administrator.

<description>&#60;p&#62;Shoutlet Twitter widgets can be populated by in three different ways. The first way is by a Twitter user name, for example @shoutlet; the second way a Twitter widget is populated is based on search term or keyword, for example all tweets mentioning &#34;shoutlet&#34; will display in the widget; lastly you can pull in Twitter hashtags, but inserting a %23 before the keyword, for example %23shoutlet. You would insert the hashtag code under the &#34;search term&#34; option of the Shoutlet Twitter widget.&#60;br /&#62;

&#60;p&#62;The &#34;widget image&#34; is going to be what the widget looks like to the end user.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;img src=&#34;http://cdn.shoutlet.com/file/57/29376.png&#34; alt=&#34;&#34; /&#62;&#60;/p&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;If you want to publish a Shoutlet widget to the home page of your fan page, we recommend using widget 200x250. If you're publishing Shoutlet widgets to Facebook boxes the recommend size is 420x395, but you can also place smaller widgets too.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Just be cautious of the FBML codes that Shoutlet generates for 200x250 widgets. Once the FBML code is generated and ready to be copied from Shoutlet, change the size in the code from width=&#34;200&#34; height=&#34;250&#34; to width=&#34;201&#34; height=&#34;250&#34; to optimize user experience with the widget when it's posted at this size on Facebook.

<description>&#60;p&#62;Widgets cannot be embed into any email provider, because e-mail clients don't work well with Flash. Unfortunately this is just a limitation of Flash.    &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;We recommend taking a screenshot of your widget or creating an image of it, and inserting that image in your email. You will then link the image to the permalink of your widget. This still allows you to promote your widgets in email blasts. &#60;/p&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;Spam can be caught by a mail server before delivery, or by the e-mail client after delivery.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If spam is blocked by a mail server before delivery, it will come up as a bounce (in this case the &#34;spam source blocked&#34; message, though that message can vary by e-mail server).&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If the spam is put into a spam box or flagged as spam by her e-mail client, it will NOT show up as a bounce.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If you opens a message in your spam box or copies it into a inbox and opens it, it will show up as opened as long as it has images enabled (so that the tracking pixel loads).&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If you feel the mail server is &#34;spam source blocking&#34; some e-mails and not others, Shoutlet has no control over that, and you would need to contact your mail administrator.

<description>&#60;p&#62;An e-mail counts as &#34;delivered&#34; when a single pixel tracking image is loaded by the e-mail client.  It's not 100% reliable, but it's the only method available (for instance people with images disabled or who view the e-mail as text only will not get counted).  This is a known standard in the industry.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;What is single pixal tracking?&#60;br /&#62;
Some e-mail marketing tools include tracking as a feature. Such e-mail tracking is usually accomplished using standard web tracking devices known as cookies and web beacons. When you send a tracked e-mail message, whether it's a simple text message or a graphical html message, the e-mail marketing system may embed a tiny, invisible tracking image (a single-pixel gif, sometimes called a web beacon) within the content of the message. When the recipient opens the message, the tracking image is referenced. When they click a link or open an attachment, another tracking code is activated. In each case a separate tracking event is recorded by the system. These response events accumulate over time in a database, enabled the e-mail marketing software to report metrics such as open-rate and click-through rates. E-mail marketing users can view reports on both aggregate response statistics and individual response over time.&#60;br /&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;Yes you can. Under the &#34;manage file&#34; option in Shoutlet, select &#34;video&#34; and choose the video file you want to upgrade. After you select your video, you will see the file information, along with a drop down option for &#34;flv quality&#34;. Select your desired quality and wait a few minutes for Shoutlet to adjust the video. The screen will appear grey, and have a small progress clock appear until the conversion is finished. Once the conversion is done, you will be taken back to the list of your videos. If your video is currently in use, it may take up to 10 hours for the changes to appear due to the CDN server.
